Abu Musab al-Zarqawi brought to "justice"?

The administration, the press and many other self-interested parties seem overjoyed at the air strike that killed al-Zarqawi. The basic theme seems to be that he was “brought to justice”. In the cold light of day he was murdered. There is little question that he was a criminal, as a rule bringing a criminal to justice involves apprehension, a trial, judgment, etc. It seems that after we located him we couldn’t be bothered with the rule of law; murder by air strike is the new justice. His blood is on the hands of every citizen of this country. We have allowed atrocities by this administration to go unexamined, unchallenged and unexplained from day one. How long can we allow this administration to continue in our name? One day more is too long.

You could not be more right. I have had many ask me why the Bush regime feels they can get away with the crap they do. The answer is simple we let them. Our system of checks and balances is totally broken over the rocks of partisan politics. Nixon finally knew it was time to go when Goldwater and Rhodes made a visit to the White House.
