The News Just Keeps Getting Better and Better and...
In a N.Y.Times article under BLOODSHED, headlined “More Than 40 Are Killed In Iraqi Insurgent Attacks” (31 May 2006) after the details of the killings it was a relief to read: In other news, Reuters quoted the Pentagon’s quarterly report to Congress on Tuesday as saying that the strength of insurgents "will likely remain steady throughout 2006, but that their appeal and motivation for continued violent action will begin to wane in early 2007." Does this mean in January of 2007 the headlines will read “30 Killed” and maybe in March “20 Killed”? Will the citizens of this country ever be able to rise above the shame of allowing this administration to continue this “war”?
