Happy New Year

This is a letter sent to the New York Times but not likely to be published:

“Never send a boy to do a man’s job” the U.S. military seems to live by this old saw. Today in Bayji it was reported a building where three suspects were seen to take cover by a recon plane was bombed. Local officials did not know if any of the nine family members killed where the suspects. Among the dead were two women. There was no mention of children but odds would say of any nine family members it is probable that one is a child. Why bomb a house? Must two planes and thousands of dollars be used so haphazardly? Should U.S. citizens continue to finance murder with tax dollars? Does it make us war criminals? I think you could find many who would say we are and I'd wager all of the dead would agree.
